2011 Lenten Season - People of Passion
The theme for this year's Lenten series is People of Passion. Throughout the season, we will examine the people involved in the events of the passion of our Lord. As listeners, we will once again be presented with the marvelous story of God's salvation first during the Lenten season and then especially during Holy Week.
Through the pages of Scripture and the eyes of faith we hope to gain insight into how various characters connected with the passion of Christ either responded to the love of Jesus in a wrong way or in a Scripture-given, honorable way. Peter's tumble, John's loyalty, and even the crowd's mass revolt against Jesus - all these pieces of the puzzle can be used by the Spirit to not only help us respond in a right way to our Savior's love, but to gain a greater appreciation for the loyal love that our Savior has for us.
We encourage you to attend as many of these services as the Lord allows you to - you will find the time walking with Jesus on His way of sorrows to be well worth it as God grows you in His grace and deepens you in His love.
All of our mid-week Lenten services start at 7:00 pm on Wednesday evenings.
