Music

Adult Choir

The adult choir frequently participates in our weekly worship services and leads the congregation in several special worship services every year.

Instrumental Music

Our talented musicians frequently enhance our worship services with the sweet sounds of brass and stringed instruments, the piano and organ, and a variety of other instrumentation.

Media

The OSL media team strives to share the Gospel in new and creative ways by utilizing the technology which God has given us. Our talented volunteers manage our CD Ministry, Video Ministry, and operate all of our audio and video equipment.

Outreach

God’s vision for Our Savior Lutheran (OSL) in San Antonio is to be an oasis for the Gospel. OSL is that fertile spot in the desert of this world where the living water is found. We seek to be a presence of hope and peace in the San Antonio community where neighbors feel they are cared for and are a part of a family of believers grounded in Scripture alone, faith alone, and Christ alone. We see our neighbors as our heavenly Father sees you and He sees you as important enough to give up life itself to have you live in His loving arms forever. We reach out to our neighbors with the love of God and invite people to experience God through worship and the family of Our Savior.
Basketball Camp

We train up neighborhood 5- to 14-year-olds and their parents in the Gospel message and the opportunity to learn some basketball skills. The annual OSL Basketball Camp gears up in late summer and will run from 6-8pm each day for 5 days.

Candy Corner

What is Candy Corner? It is our biggest outreach event; a unique Halloween/Community Outreach Event for our OSL family and our community neighbors: trick-or-treating in a friendly, safe environment. A one-stop place where all trick-or-treaters can acquire lots of sweets, win prizes, and play seasonal games. Everyone young and old can spend an evening with friends and meet lots of new friends. Cake at the pumpkin walk, door prizes, and music set the background of our evening.

Christmas For Kids

Do you need a place to bring your kids (ages Pre-K thru 4th grade) for a child-free morning of Christmas shopping and decorating? Are you looking for a safe place for them and their friends to hang out and have some fun? Well, how about a place that your kids can come and get into the Christmas spirit and learn about Jesus? This event is scheduled for a Saturday in December when we will have stories, games, crafts, lunch, and edible treats for all!

Easter For Kids (and Parents)

Easter for Kids is a carnival-style opportunity for children AND their parents to visit OSL, play carnival games, win prizes, gather Easter eggs, participate in face painting and hear the Resurrection Story! This annual event is scheduled for Saturday the week before Easter Sunday.

Jesus Cares

Jesus Cares is a ministry for our friends with special needs. Our dedicated members lead regular Bible studies, participate in community events such as Buddy Walk, and host special parties around major holidays.

Lydia Women's Ministries

Lydia Women’s Ministry exists to encourage, nurture, and strengthen the women of Our Savior in our faith through the Word, motivating us to use our lives as gifts of service to the Lord in our families, church, community, and the world. We have five different areas of ministry headed by team leaders:

The Spiritual Growth Team focuses on providing opportunities for women's Bible studies, special women's services, and the annual Women's retreat

The Serving Team organizes food for church members in need as well as special church events

The Service Team is responsible for communion and banners, care packages for students away from home, and holiday decorating

The Fellowship Team provides opportunities for congregational fellowship outside of Sunday morning

The LWMS/Outreach team focuses on home and world mission work funded by our national women's organization and local outreach to the community

Men's Bible Study

Our regular men's Bible study, Men of the Word is open to men of all ages who are interested in delving into Scripture and participating in open discussions of Scripture’s meaning and applicability. We study particular books of the Bible and take them chapter by chapter. The discussion is free-ranging, personal, and informative, with a goal of knowing God’s Word better and applying it in our own lives.
